DESCRIPTION:RJ Grand Slam Long Island Moneyball Championship\nGet ready for an unforgettable day of competitive pickleball as the RJ Grand Slam Long Island Moneyball Championship takes over The Picklr Centereach on Saturday\, September 12\, 2026. \nThis premier all-day tournament will bring together players from across Long Island\, New York City\, Westchester\, New Jersey\, Connecticut\, and surrounding areas for one epic day of competition\, community\, entertainment\, and championship-level energy. \nThe tournament will be held at the beautiful The Picklr Centereach\, featuring 11 professional indoor pickleball courts\, free parking\, excellent amenities\, and a high-energy environment designed to give every participant a true Grand Slam experience. \nWhether you are competing for your first tournament medal\, testing your skills against strong regional players\, or chasing the championship cash prize\, the RJ Grand Slam is designed to provide a competitive\, organized\, and memorable experience for players of multiple skill levels. \nTournament Divisions\nThe event will feature doubles divisions for men\, women\, and mixed teams\, including: \n\nMen’s 3.0–3.5\nMen’s 3.5–4.0\nWomen’s 3.0–3.5\nWomen’s 3.5–4.0\nMixed Doubles 3.0–3.5\nMixed Doubles 3.5–4.0\nChampionship Moneyball Division\n\nThe Championship Moneyball Division will be gender blind\, meaning teams may consist of any gender combination. Teams competing in this division may not exceed a combined DUPR rating of 9.0. \nAll divisions are doubles only\, and registration will be completed as a team. \nTournament Format\nTeams will begin with round-robin pool play\, giving participants multiple guaranteed matches and an opportunity to compete against several different teams within their division. \nAfter round-robin play\, qualifying teams will advance to the playoff and medal rounds. The exact playoff structure may vary depending on the number of registered teams in each division. \nRound-robin games are expected to be played to 11 points\, win by two. Playoff and medal matches may be played to 11 or 15 points\, win by two\, depending on the final tournament schedule\, division size\, and court availability. \nThe Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust game formats\, scoring\, pools\, playoff structures\, or match lengths when necessary to keep the tournament running smoothly and on schedule. \nCash Prizes and Medals\nPlayers will have the opportunity to compete for cash prizes\, custom tournament medals\, recognition\, and the honor of becoming one of the first RJ Grand Slam Champions. \nThe Championship Moneyball Division will feature a major $1\,000 championship prize. \nAdditional divisions may also include cash awards for first-place teams. Prize payouts may be adjusted depending on the final number of teams registered in each division. \nMedals will be presented to qualifying podium finishers\, and every championship match will be treated as a special moment worthy of the RJ Grand Slam stage. \nStrict DUPR and Anti-Sandbagging Policy\nThe RJ Grand Slam is committed to protecting fair competition and maintaining the integrity of every division. \nAll participants must have an active DUPR profile before competing. Player ratings\, tournament history\, recent results\, partner ratings\, and overall playing ability may be reviewed before and during the event. \nPlayers may always choose to compete in a higher division. However\, players will not be permitted to intentionally play below their appropriate competitive level. \nThe Tournament Director has the right to move a team into a different division\, combine divisions\, deny an entry\, or remove a team when necessary to protect the fairness of the tournament. \nRegistering for a division does not guarantee that a team will remain in that division if the Tournament Director determines that the team’s rating or playing level is not appropriate. \nOur goal is simple: play your level\, respect your opponents\, and earn every victory. \nMore Than Just a Tournament\nThe RJ Grand Slam is being created as more than a standard pickleball competition. It is a full-day experience that celebrates players\, families\, businesses\, sponsors\, and the growing pickleball community. \nParticipants can expect: \n\nProfessional tournament organization\nMusic and live announcements\nPlayer photography and highlight content\nCustom medals and championship recognition\nSponsor and vendor booths\nRaffles and giveaways\nPlayer features on the RJ Grand Slam website and social media\nFuture player rankings\, points\, and Grand Slam recognition\nA fun and energetic atmosphere throughout the entire event\n\nTournament photos and videos may be used on the RJ Grand Slam website and social media pages to celebrate competitors\, promote future events\, recognize champions\, and help grow the tournament series. \nPlaying for a Meaningful Cause\nThe tournament will also feature special raffles throughout the day. \nProceeds from the raffles will help provide toys\, sensory materials\, educational resources\, and learning tools for children with autism\, developmental delays\, and speech delays. \nEvery raffle ticket purchased will help support a meaningful cause while giving participants and spectators an opportunity to win exciting prizes donated by tournament sponsors and community partners. \nPlayers will not only be competing for medals and cash prizes—they will also be helping make a positive difference for children and families in the community. \nTournament Theme\nPlayers and spectators are encouraged to embrace the signature RJ Grand Slam white-and-gold theme. \nInspired by the tradition and prestige of the world’s greatest Grand Slam events\, participants are encouraged to wear white or incorporate white into their tournament outfits. \nThe goal is to create a professional\, elegant\, and recognizable tournament atmosphere that looks just as incredible in person as it does in photos and highlight videos. \nVenue Information\nThe Picklr Centereach\n231 Centereach Mall\nCentereach\, NY 11720 \nThe facility features 11 indoor courts\, professional playing surfaces\, climate-controlled conditions\, convenient amenities\, and free parking. \nBecause the tournament will be played indoors\, competitors will not have to worry about rain\, wind\, extreme heat\, or other outdoor conditions affecting their matches. \nRegistration Information\nTeam registration is $120 per team. \nSpots will be limited in every division\, and registration may close once a division reaches capacity. Players are strongly encouraged to register early with a confirmed doubles partner. \nRegistration is not complete until the team registration information and payment have been successfully submitted. \nPlayers are responsible for entering accurate DUPR information and selecting the correct division.
